Easter on our Block

I’m pretty sure we live in the best crescent EVER!  We moved into our house last October and immediately felt welcome by everyone.  A lot of the people living here grew up in St. Albert (including my husband) and a few even went to high school together, or somehow know each other from years ago.  But what makes this block so awesome (aside from us all being young families) is that everyone knows how to have a good time.  The adults plan stuff (okay, the women plan stuff), and make it happen.  Whether it’s adults only Halloween and Christmas parties, or yesterday’s giant Easter Egg Hunt for all the kids.  There are 32 kids on our block (I believe that’s the latest count).  Thirty-two!!  Yesterday morning was a blast.  Baileys and coffee for the parents, and LOTS of candy, bubbles, chalk and face painting for the kiddos.  Oh, and a colouring contest (my daughter came in second in her age category.  She was pretty proud).  After the hunt, the bikes, scooters, plasma cars, and skateboards started coming out.  And yes, my husband jumped on the opportunity to get on his skateboard and ride with the cool kids for a few minutes.  And I took the opportunity to take some photos.  I picked out a bunch and edited them pretty quickly to share with everyone here.  I knew if I didn’t get them done right away, they would sit on my hard drive for eternity.

Thanks to everyone for putting on such a great time!
