This little guy is quite possibly THE sweetest , most content baby in Edmonton right now. I have never had a 4 week old sleep as peacefully as Kane did yesterday for his photo session. And those smiles he gave when he was awake (and asleep!)… oh, man. So cute.

S&J welcomed Kane, their first child, into their family recently – and that obviously makes them three of the luckiest, happiest people around ;) Congratulations!!

I’m One Proud Aunt!

… and an even prouder sister. My big sister became a mom for the first time on December 4th. She’s always been a super fantastic Aunt to my own two kids, but seeing her with her own little boy really made my heart happy. I was in Ottawa last week to meet the adorable little Nicholas. And I took many, many photos, of course. I am so excited and thrilled for my sister and her husband. They are going to be amazing parents to this little guy. And I can’t wait to see him again!

Ellison’s Birthday – Edmonton Child Photographer

I don’t normally photograph events like this, but when Ellison’s mom contacted me to ask if I would take photos of her daughter’s first birthday party, I just had to say yes. She shared some of the details of what she had planned, and it sounded fabulous! This woman could probably have a solid future as a party planner if she wanted it! Ellison’s jungle theme party was wonderful – what a lucky little girl. Many, many friends and family were there today to celebrate with her. Thank you for asking me to photograph Ellison’s party – I’m glad I said yes! Here are just a few of the images from her big day:

I had to get this session blogged right away – I couldn’t wait to share a few images with Aubree’s mom! This is our FOURTH photo session together. It all started with maternity photos a little over a year ago, and now we have this super adorable little girl, who’s about to turn ONE! Here’s another sneak peek today – this time for Madison’s mom & dad. I LOVED the location – Saxe Point in Victoria. Such a pretty little park by the ocean. Madison is super cute – and happens to share a grandma with my niece & nephew! Cute runs in the family, I guess ;)
